Cycling to fight against cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses.
It all began last year when a subcommittee of the Northern California Food Industries Circle tossed out the idea to start a cycling event to raise additional funds for City of Hope and more than 50 people joined in for a wonderful ride in 2014. Raising over $55,000 through sponsorship and fundraising, the Bike to Hope team had a phenomenal inaugural ride with a promise to build the momentum heading in to 2015.
The NCFIC Bike to Hope represents a team of cyclists committed to raising awareness and funds for City of Hope. The team works together, rides together and shares an interest and involvement that will greatly impact the lives of patients at City of Hope and around the world.
In 2015 the Bike to Hope team has set a goal of 75 cyclists to generate even more money for City of Hope with teams from Northern California retailers, manufacturers, and sales and marketing companies.
This year the Bike to Hope team will join the Giro Bello bike ride in beautiful Sebastapol, California cycling along wineries and gorgeous scenery for either a century, metric century or family fun ride. The team goal is to raise over $65,000, with each team member raising $350 each and hopefully with the support of corporate sponsors that benefit the entire team.
