For the 11th year the Fireflies will gather Sept. 27th in Mill Valley, CA & cycle down the coast to L.A. raising money for City of Hope, aiding research & curing blood cancers.
I've luckily been chosen to ride & raise funds honoring the memory & legacy of the late Phil Nicholson, cycling buddy and father-in-law.
Sadly, Phil’s best friend’s daughter and our dear family friend,
Suzanne Westphal Clark, succumbed May 29 after fighting sarcoma for
more than 2.5 years. She’d been an ardent Fireflies cheerleader.
Her loss adds yet more purpose to our fundraising.
Why did I make this commitment to City of Hope? I have two lists:
Lost to Cancer
Best Friend’s Mom
High School Friend
2 Family Friends
We begin the journey on September 27: 50 Riders. 6 Days. 650 Miles.
Every tax deductible dollar you give goes directly to City of Hope to fight cancer.
We Fireflies pay 100% of our own expenses. I’d be really grateful if you can contribute
this year. If you can’t, your support from last year still means a great deal to me
To support our effort, use my link. Then click the “Donate Now” button to make a
100% tax-deductible donation. It’s that easy and it yields tangible results in the fight against cancer.
City of Hope has the best overall outcome of any U.S. treatment center for Leukemia and other Blood Cancers. Now researchers there are using genetic manipulation and having great success against Brain Cancer (which got my Dad). City of Hope also predicts they’ll cure for Type 1 Diabetes within 5 years.
Thank you so very much for your time and consideration. Please help us fight cancer!
With love & warmest regards,
