We've Raised $1,408.00
Our Goal $1,500.00
Hello Mountain View Movers and Shakers Hikers,
Join us on a great hike on Sunday, March 5, 2017, and support a great cause—-the Hike4Hope sponsored by the City of Hope in their effort of fighting cancer unique to women. This year, Mountain View Country Club’s Movers and Shakers Team will be participating for the tenth year in a row. Each year, our financial support has placed us in the top five contributing teams. This year should be no different.
To sign up, go to the website..... http://nationalevents.cityofhope.org/site/TR/IFE/IFE?team_id=55088&pg=team&fr_id=3261 .......(note the first photo of our Mountain View Movers and Shakers Team) and select Join a Team, then under Team Name enter----Mountain View Movers and Shakers Team----then Search for a Team---then Join. It will lead you through the process. When you get to which hike you desire, consider that most of us are going on the #215-Coffman Murray Loop.
The scenery in all of the Indian Canyons is absolutely beautiful and fits MVCC's Hiking Club style in difficulty, distance and elevation gain. The choice of available hikes will accommodate all levels of hiking, though, and you can sign up for any hike that suits your desire and ability. There is room for arm-chair virtual hikers, too!
The cost is $25 for Senior Participant (Age 55+) before March 3, 2017 at noon, which includes entrance into the Indian Canyons and all the festivities and gifts at the after-hike celebration. Also, this year, you need to order your T-Shirt in advance (included in the fee). ANY dollar donation above that amount would certainly be appreciated so that we can, once again, be one of the most successful fund-raising teams participating. If you have non-hiking friends who would like to support YOUR effort, please have them make a contribution (in your name) to our “Mountain View Movers and Shakers” Team.
If you encounter trouble with the online sign-up process, contact Kristin J. Bertell at 800-266-7920 or email@example.com for help. Advise her of your support for the Mountain View Movers and Shakers team.
We will be car pooling from MVCC's parking lot, early as usual, and details of that will be forthcoming before the event. By hiking, we not only raise funds for the fight -- we also promote regular exercise, which can cut cancer risk and help us all enjoy longer, healthier lives. Virtual hikers get to smile and feel good about their contributions.
Together, we can build a world without women's cancers. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION !!!
Andy and Marsha Lewis,
Captains of the Mountain View Movers and Shakers Team
