I've registered for the Walk for Hope again this year because I refuse to let this terrible disease affect anymore people than it already has - and I need your help.  I've also registered because my father Mannie was President of the City of Hope and had dedicated 60 years of his life to this great organization!  Being on the Women's Council of San Diego has been so fulfilling in raising funds to help others.

Walk for Hope supports breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope, an amazing place that is saving lives every day.  I have visited the City of Hope many times and am constantly in awe at what an incredible place it is.

Please support me and City of Hope's work.  I understand times are tough for many - yet as little as $10 can create hope for someone battling cancer.  Small donations add up to make a big difference. What is Walk for Hope?

More than 275,000 women will be diagnosed with breast or a gynecological cancer this year. More than 25% of those women will die from these diseases. I want to save these women. I want to help City of Hope researchers find cures.

Researchers at City of Hope conduct innovative, results-oriented, patient focused research that examines cancer?s entire course ?- from cause to diagnosis and treatment, from remission and relapse and survivorship ?- to fully understand women?s cancers, the effects of these diseases, and the effects of treatments. As a result, we can develop more powerful treatments and prevention strategies that lessen the threat of disease for women everywhere.

Walk for Hope will take place in eight cities with one mission - curing women's cancers. Walk for Hope is more than a fundraising walk -- it is a movement. More than 20,000 women and men will come together this year from coast to coast to raise funds for this movement.
