Walk for Hope - Virginia Macaalay
Dear Family & Friends, Please help me in my quest to raise funds for finding a cure for Women's Cancers. Many of you know my personal story, but for those that do not, here it is. Every year, women we love our mothers, our wives, our sisters and our friends battle breast and gynecologic cancers. One of these women was my sister Lillian who passed away from breast cancer in 1990. Since then, I am convinced that without the donations from supporters that I would not be alive today. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2010, a niece and a friend in 2011 and an aunt & cousin years ago. I would like to help see that no one loses someone close from cancer, especially breast cancer. We want to prevent women's cancers before they even start. And we want to provide better treatments that help survivors return to the whole and healthy lives they once knew. This is why we walk. (City of Hope) In 2011 my team, "The MacAttacks" raised over $2000 for the City of Hope - Walk for Hope. This year I'm hoping to exceed that by starting earlier in my fund raising efforts.
