Walk for Hope (Women's Cancers / Women's Cures)
Hi all, I will be walking again in this year?s City of Hope Walk on Sunday, September 23rd, in honor of my sister-in-law Rose Julien who has been battling breast cancer for over 12 years. She has recently been diagnosed with a very serious spread, but continues to fight with surgery, radiation and chemo. Some chemo and radiation treatments are newly discovered through research such as those the City of Hope offers. All who know Rose know she is a fighter like no other, the cancer may knock her down, but she jumps right back up to show cancer who they're dealing with. My brother likens her to the bull riders at the Cowtown Rodeo, they get kicked & banged down, but they get up, never give the bull the satisfaction of a look, dust off and then look for the next bull to ride. The picture on my page is of the tattoo my brother recently got to honor his wife Rose. She is definitely one of my heroes. I will also be walking in memory of my mom (my best friend) and all my family and friends who I have lost to this disease and for those who are beginning their battles to fight it. Thanks, Kathy Please support me and City of Hope's work. Small donations add up to make a big difference. Just hit the big "Donate" button -- you can't miss it -- and make a tax-deductible donation. It's that easy and it's that important. I'm in. Are you?
