Yoga for Hope

I have joined Yoga for Hope because I want to bring awareness to the healing benefits of Yoga for patients battling life threatening illnesses. At City of Hope, patients are offered gentle restorative Yoga classes as a complementary therapy to traditional treatments. This program has had a profound impact on quality of life for many City of Hope patients.

As quoted by one City of Hope patient, "After chemotherapy, I had a lot of stiffness. Doing this [yoga] class has given me more mobility. I feel more relaxed and able to handle stress better."

In addition to researching complementary and alternative therapies, City of Hope conducts innovative, results oriented, patient focused research that examines the entire course of cancer, diabetes and HIV/AIDS -- from diagnosis and treatment, from remission and relapse to survivorship.  As a result, we can develop more powerful treatments and prevention strategies that lessen the threat of disease for people everywhere.

Please support me and City of Hope's work. Small donations add up to make a big difference. Just hit the big "Donate" button -- you can't miss it -- and make a tax-deductible donation. It's that easy and it's that important.
