Thank you for your support!
Thank you to all the yogis, speakers, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and instructors who helped make Yoga for Hope San Francisco a resounding success! This year raised more money than ever before and donations are still coming in. On Saturday we announced that we have rasied over $40,000 and we want to encourage you to continue to donate to the cause for the next 30 days when we will announce our fundraising total! You can help us reach $50,000 by contributing a last minute donation today. On August 17th in Union Square, we reafirmed our dedication to the search for cures and healing the whole person. People being treated for cancer, HIVAIDS and diabetes count on City of Hope, where compassionate care offers the chance to overcome disease, and innovative research cultivates new, better therapies on the path to cures. Your support makes what we do possible, so thank you!
Please stay tuned for 2014 event details. We'll see you again next year!
City of Hope patients benefit from yoga
At City of Hope, patients are offered gentle, restorative yoga classes for relaxation and well-being, in addition to traditional treatments. This program has had a profound impact on symptom management and quality of life for many City of Hope patients. As quoted by one City of Hope patient, "After chemotherapy, I had a lot of stiffness. Doing this yoga class has given me more mobility. I feel more relaxed and better able to handle stress."
