Thank you for your support!
Thank you to all the yogis, speakers, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and instructors who helped make Yoga for Hope San Francisco a resounding success! On September 20 in Union Square, we reafirmed our dedication to the search for cures and healing the whole person. People being treated for cancer, HIVAIDS and diabetes count on City of Hope, where compassionate care offers the chance to overcome disease, and innovative research cultivates new, better therapies on the path to cures. Your support makes what we do possible, so thank you!
Please stay tuned for 2015 event details. We'll see you again next year!
City of Hope patients benefit from yoga
At City of Hope, patients are offered gentle, restorative yoga classes for relaxation and well-being, in addition to traditional treatments. This program has had a profound impact on symptom management and quality of life for many City of Hope patients. As quoted by one City of Hope patient, "After chemotherapy, I had a lot of stiffness. Doing this yoga class has given me more mobility. I feel more relaxed and better able to handle stress."
