Yoga for Hope is a fundraising event for yoga beginners and experts alike! This year we have also added to the class lineup! Prior to the Yoga For All Levels, all registrants, all levels, will have an opportunity to wake-up with a 45-minute Zumba lesson or participate in a 45-minute Thai Massage Therapy Workshop!
Yoga For Hope was born out of City of Hope's efforts to expand awareness of the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection and the hospital's unique approach to utilizing complimentary and integrative therapies such as yoga and meditation in the patient treatment programs. Participants are treated to a morning of health and wellness with the true gift being a Yoga For All Levels taught by the Valley's premier health/wellness professionals and the heartfelt life celebration bell ceremony!
Our integrative medicine program is seeking to understand the mind-body-spirit connection by incorporating complementary modalities with state-of-the-art medical care to assist those battling life-threatening diseases.
Join us on October 21st at the W Scottsdale to experience The Power of Hope!
City of Hope patients benefit from yoga
At City of Hope, patients are offered gentle, restorative yoga classes for relaxation and well-being, in addition to traditional treatments. This program has had a profound impact on symptom management and quality of life for many City of Hope patients. As quoted by one patient, “After chemotherapy, I had a lot of stiffness. Doing this yoga class has given me more mobility. I feel more relaxed and better able to handle stress.”
